Modern Spanish - Book 1

Author: Dong Yansheng Liu Jian
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2000-09-01
Features: The first to fourth volumes of Modern Spanish are practical textbooks for oral and written language courses for undergraduate students in their first and second years of Spanish studies at universities. They basically retain the structure and format of Spanish published by Commercial Press (same authors), but the text content is almost entirely updated to meet the needs of the times. Additionally, considering the improved learning abilities of students, the arrangement of grammatical difficulties is more concentrated, and the vocabulary has been significantly increased. To facilitate students' understanding and mastery, the translation of grammatical terms has been appropriately adjusted based on common expressions used in Chinese and English teaching in China. The number of texts in each volume is arranged based on a 18-week teaching schedule per semester. The first volume contains 24 lessons, with the first 12 lessons focusing on pronunciation training, where 2 lessons are taught each week (calculated as 10 hours per week, with 4 hours for 1 lesson and 1 hour for review). The last 12 lessons are taught 1 per week, with a focus shifting to grammar and vocabulary while not relaxing pronunciation training. Most common grammatical items are taught in the first three volumes.
