The series provides annotations on vocabulary, grammar, and language difficulty appropriate for different levels, enabling students to read English works suitable for their language proficiency. Each reader is accompanied by self-assessment exercises to guide and assist students in their reading, or can be used by teachers to organize and guide systematic reading activities. We sincerely hope that the "New Standard English Readers for Primary and Secondary Schools" can become a valuable tool for teachers in English instruction, and we wish for these readers to enrich students' experiences, broaden their horizons, and bridge the gap between them and the English language and culture.
