Features: In the articles included in this book, "Legal Methodology," there are several that constitute part of the content of "Legal Philosophy" that I have long advocated and promoted. I firmly believe that it should be distinguished from legal theory and should form its own independent system. If legal theory is a science concerned with the materialist and dialectical issues of the general concepts, categories, laws, principles, and ideas of law, then essentially, legal philosophy is a legal epistemology and methodology. Its important characteristic is that "legal substance and philosophical form" are content that is legal and form that is philosophical. In a certain sense, it is also an interdisciplinary field between law and philosophy, but I tend to believe that it is a part of law. The "Five Isms" that existed in China's legal practice and theory circles in the past (see "Prospects for the Development of Chinese Law in the 21st Century" in this book) are actually a concentrated manifestation of idealist and metaphysical epistemology and methodology. Therefore, I have no doubt that studying and mastering legal philosophy is highly meaningful.
