I found cervical erosion, how is the treatment?

Patient's question:

I am a woman. Two years ago, I had gynecological inflammation. Recently, I have been feeling lower back pain, so I went for a thorough check-up again. The result showed cervical erosion. How can this be treated? Is this condition serious? Are there any good methods to cure it?

Doctor's answer:

Cervical erosion is mainly determined by the symptoms it presents, and the degree of cervical erosion. If it is mild or moderate, it is recommended to undergo cervical cancer screening, which includes a cervical TCT and HPV test. If both the HPV and TCT results are normal, surgery is not recommended, and regular check-ups can be performed. If the cervical erosion is severe, minimally invasive treatment can be considered. If the HPV and TCT results are abnormal, it is advised to undergo a colposcopic cervical biopsy. Based on the pathological report of the biopsy, the appropriate surgical approach can then be determined.
