Features: When reading ancient poetry and prose, students should be guided to use relevant reference materials to independently overcome reading obstacles. This book is compiled based on the ancient poetry and prose selected in the newly promulgated "General Junior (Senior) High School Chinese Curriculum Standards" by the Ministry of Education of China. Considering that some items are deleted in the new curriculum standards, the compilers have referred to the ancient poetry and prose recitation list specified in the "Full-time General Junior (Senior) High School Chinese Teaching Outline" promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2001 and appropriately added some items on the basis of the new curriculum standards. Therefore, the ancient poetry and prose collected in this book are more comprehensive than the new curriculum standards, which is more beneficial for middle school students to read systematically. This book is divided into two parts: junior high school and senior high school, with each part further divided into classical Chinese and classical Chinese poetry and ci. The selected ancient poetry and prose are arranged in the order of the recitation list specified in the teaching outline. Each piece of poetry and prose includes six sections: "Author and Creation," "Original Text," "Clarifying Doubts," "Appreciation and Analysis," "Knowledge Points," and "Extended Reading." The compilers of this book are long-term frontline teachers and expert scholars engaged in the research of ancient poetry and prose, with the participation of senior editors from Beijing Jine Culture Company, who have provided guiding suggestions and revision opinions on the writing format of the book.
