Features: To accelerate the development of applied linguistics in China, the National Language Commission has recently supported the establishment of the Chinese Society of Applied Linguistics, held two national academic seminars, organized modern Chinese vocabulary research for computer information processing, carried out research and exchange on primary school literacy teaching across the country, supported research in applied linguistics theory, legal language, advertising language, broadcast language, and language and culture, accelerated the construction of national large-scale modern Chinese corpus, developed standards for language and character norms and information processing, and conducted nationwide surveys on the use of language and characters. To support the above work and align with the gradual strengthening of applied linguistics research, we have compiled this series of "Applied Linguistics and Language Application Research Series."
