Features: The Chinese nation is one of the most passionate about collecting in the world. Throughout history, there have been many renowned collectors. Since the reform and opening-up, a nationwide "collecting fever" has swept across China. However, collecting is an art, and whether for beginners or seasoned collectors, it's easy to fall victim to scams. Nowadays, not only are forgeries of calligraphy, painting, and antiques rampant in the market, but even auctions are occasionally plagued by fake works, which is indeed a headache for collectors. Based on this, we have edited and published a series of books titled "Bao Fo Jiao Series," divided into two sub-series: "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Identification" and "Chinese Antique Identification." This series emphasizes "practicality" and "operational feasibility," aiming to provide genuine assistance to collectors. All the authors of this series are not only research experts but also "collectors" and "enthusiasts," with practical experience in their respective fields. They have all "found hidden gems" in their areas of expertise, and some of the works featured in the books are even their own collections. Pan Shenliang, the author of "Identifying Xu Beihong," is currently employed at the Palace Museum in Beijing. He is a senior expert in the identification of calligraphy and painting at the museum, having worked for three decades in the collection, management, identification, and research of imperial collection artworks. This book is insightful and sincere in its language, providing practical help for identifying the works of Mr. Xu Beihong.
