Features: Wen Qiang is an elderly man with an extremely extraordinary background. His ancestors once followed Sun Yat-sen, he is the 23rd descendant of Wen Tianxiang, and also a cousin of Mao Zedong. He was introduced into the Communist Party of China by Zhou Enlai and participated in the Northern Expedition and the Nanchang Uprising. Later, he left the party due to the influence of Wang Ming's left-leaning opportunism. In 1935, he joined the Military Intelligence Department of the Kuomintang, becoming one of Dai Li's key subordinates and reaching the rank of Major General in the Kuomintang. In 1975, he was granted special amnesty and elected as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. From his oral histories, we can appreciate a figure who spent his life alongside the turbulent events of China's nearly century-old history, making his posthumous recollections invaluable.
