Li Rushi Collection

Author: Liu Shishi
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-03-01
Features: This book is divided into two parts, each forming a separate volume. The upper part consists of Liu Shishi's poems and writings, while the lower part contains related documents. The upper part is based on fine copies, with version notes included at the beginning of each volume for reference. The lower part extensively cites ancient books, using existing written materials. Every word or phrase is clearly attributed; if a cited book appears multiple times, an asterisk () indicates that the original book is unavailable, while the cited source is marked. The base texts used often contain variant characters or different forms, which are transcribed as closely as possible to preserve their authenticity. Citations are roughly checked, with added words marked in [ ] and extra words in < >. The book provides detailed annotations on Chen Zilong and Xie Sanbin's poems, and all authors related to Liu Shishi are included according to Chen's views, arranged in separate sections. Paintings, calligraphy, and artifacts by Liu Shishi are recorded if available, for reference rather than scholarly analysis. As mentioned in the preface, this book is essentially an appendix to Biography of Liu Shishi, hence, events related to Liu Shishi found in Qian Qianyi's collected works are excluded. At the end of the upper part, Chen Yinque's poem is appended as a tribute.
