Features: With the changing historical contexts and the evolution of residential architectural forms in Taiwan, the concept of residential construction has gradually shifted from merely providing land for housing to offering living environments. The focus has transitioned from "quantity demand" to "quality demand." In terms of users' attitudes toward living spaces, there has been a shift from complete privacy to incorporating shared elements, leading to a situation of coexistence. The change in usage behavior is evident. However, throughout the development of residential construction in Taiwan, the interior design and decoration of living spaces have also emerged, grown, and flourished alongside it. From a certain perspective, their prominence has even surpassed that of the design of the residential buildings themselves. The reasons for this are twofold: first, as people's incomes increase and living standards improve, interior decoration, renovation, and design have become a necessity for daily use; second, it is closely related to the sales system of the real estate market. Developers or sales agents in Taiwan's real estate market, in their efforts to promote their products, whether through direct sales or build-first sales, employ interior designers to create a varying number of sample houses or actual houses (sample houses for pre-sales, actual houses for build-first sales) for consumers to visit and purchase. To fulfill their responsibilities, these interior designers pour their creativity into their works, striving for aesthetics, comfort, and convenience. The impact on the general public is significant, regardless of home design, decoration, arrangement, or the use of teaching materials, furniture, and equipment, all of which have been greatly influenced as models. This has also made interior design a popular trend in society. We can say that Taiwan's real estate industry, known as the "engine industry," and its sales system have not only driven the prosperity of related industries such as construction and building materials but also boosted the flourishing of the interior design industry. This has been instrumental in improving the quality of the overall living environment. Therefore, if one wishes to understand the living standards and lifestyle of a society, observing the design of residential interior spaces is an effective and straightforward approach. For the convenience of readers, this book has collected and organized relevant residential space design works by interior designers in Taiwan, categorized them by area from smaller to larger, and divided them into two sections: "Below 100 Square Meters" and "Above 100 Square Meters," to serve as references and inspirations for all.
