Features: "Everything for the development of students" is the purpose of this book. In today's widespread implementation of quality-oriented education, the scientific literacy of students has been given new meaning. The scientific literacy of students, including logical thinking and analytical reasoning, can be improved through the training of physical thinking. Especially for some outstanding students in key high schools, who have a deep passion for physics and special intuition, the high school stage is the peak period for the formation of their thinking quality. To better develop their thinking potential and fully utilize their physical talent, we are based on the representative group of excellent students in the western part of China, such as Chongqing No. 1 High School, and combined with our many years of experience in cultivating physics olympiad elites. After in-depth research on the physics competition questions of middle school students in China for many years, this textbook has been compiled, and the newly added content of the competition syllabus for rigid body rotation and special relativity has been supplemented. The purpose of compiling this textbook is to provide a broader development space for students in key high schools and outstanding students in ordinary high schools. This book is divided into 14 chapters and 54 sections, with each section written in three parts: basic knowledge, typical examples, and after-class exercises. Each chapter also includes a chapter review exercise. The basic knowledge is concise and to the point, with a focus on the parts required by competitions that are not covered in regular teaching. The typical examples provide detailed analysis, solutions, and summaries of representative questions for the section knowledge and methods, with three to four examples per section, ranging from simple to complex, to help students learn problem-solving methods and improve their problem-solving skills, enabling them to learn the correct methods of thinking about physics problems in high school. The after-class exercises are divided into Group A (basic exercises) and Group B (ability improvement). Group A exercises are equivalent to senior high school review questions, helping students master the section knowledge. By doing Group B exercises, students can master the methods of solving competition questions, improve their problem-solving skills, and enhance their physical thinking ability. The chapter review exercises help integrate and master the knowledge and methods of the chapter. Answers are provided after each chapter for convenience of use.
