Xi'an Memories

Author: Hu Wu Gong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-01-01
Features: This is an encyclopedia of secular life in Xi'an. While reading it, I was reminded of the "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" in the world of painting. Of course, compared to painting, the images are more direct, more vivid, and more (sense of presence). Such an important matter is now done by Mr. Hu Wu Gong. He might be the most suitable person for this task, as he is both an accomplished and renowned photographer and someone with a deep understanding and appreciation of Xi'an's ordinary life. I believe the value of this book lies both in the present, in helping the world better understand Xi'an, and in the future, in leaving a record of Xi'an's urban life at the end of the 20th century for later generations.
