Features: Based on the spirit of the newly promulgated "Teaching Syllabus for Full-Time Senior High School Chinese" (Trial Revision Edition) by the Ministry of Education, the "Full-Time Senior High School Textbook (Trial Revision Edition) · Chinese" published by the People's Education Press began to be used nationwide starting from the autumn of 2000. To help teachers and students better understand and master the classical Chinese poems and prose in the textbook, cultivate the ability to read classical Chinese, and improve their appreciation and evaluation of ancient literary works, we gathered efforts and meticulously organized the writing of this series of books. The series is closely aligned with the requirements of the "Syllabus" in its compilation. For each classical Chinese text, three parts are designed: Introduction, Parallel Translation and Analysis.
Introduction Section: Explains the source of the text, briefly introduces the author's life and works, analyzes the writing background of the text, and guides relevant reading questions.
Parallel Translation Section: Arranges the original text at the top and the translation below, separated by a horizontal line for clear and intuitive comparison. It provides detailed and accurate pronunciation correction, character differentiation, annotations, and explanations for difficult classical Chinese words, phrases, and special sentence structures. Additionally, summaries and comments are added at the end of each paragraph.
Analysis Section: Primarily analyzes the organizational structure, hierarchical relationships, ideological content, and writing characteristics of the text, concisely and with a focus on key points.
