Features: Western landscapes, frontier scenes, a girl named Baodou who is determined to follow her husband whether he's a rooster or a dog, goes through numerous hardships, and marries only the former labor camp inmate Lao Hu. A true, earth-shattering and ghost-moving love ballad. After the passing of Mr. Shen Congwen, Mr. Sun Li, and Mr. Wang Zengqi, we find it increasingly difficult to encounter such extraordinary and transcendent rural beauty. The writing in "Baodou" is fresh and the scenes are tragically beautiful, a rare sight over the years. It's as if immersing oneself in a gentle spring breeze, bringing us the joy of a long-awaited reunion.
