Is it an ectopic pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Now I'm 40 days pregnant. Since the moment I tested positive for pregnancy, I've been experiencing mild pain on the left side. Today, I went to the veterinary hospital for an ultrasound. The doctor said it was in the fallopian tube, not in the uterine cavity, and mentioned it could be an ectopic pregnancy. However, there haven't been any symptoms of rupture—just occasional mild pain on the left side, which hasn't changed over time.

Doctor's answer:

At 40 days of pregnancy, the location where the gestational sac can be seen is identifiable. If your ultrasound results indicate an ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy), this is a case of ectopic pregnancy, and it is recommended to undergo an early termination of pregnancy procedure. If ectopic pregnancy recurs with bleeding, it is relatively dangerous because as the gestational sac shrinks, there is a possibility of further heavy bleeding. Mild pain on the left side is also a symptom of ectopic pregnancy. Moreover, at 40 days, the location where the gestational sac can be seen is identifiable, and the possibility of misdiagnosis is relatively low. It is recommended to undergo a re-examination in a large hospital and then proceed with an early termination of pregnancy procedure.
