Advances in modern science and technology have driven the rapid development of clinical medicine. Advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques, including an endless stream of new drugs, have injected new vitality into the progress of clinical medicine. The establishment of evidence-based medicine, one of the milestones in the development of clinical medicine in the 20th century, has laid a solid foundation for standardized diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Under the guidance of evidence-based medicine principles, the authors of this book have referred to the latest domestic and international literature and combined their clinical experience to concisely elaborate on the standardized diagnosis and treatment methods for common internal diseases, aiming to guide clinical physicians in their medical practice and the evaluation of medical quality. The book includes 10 chapters covering infectious diseases, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, digestive diseases, urological diseases, hematological diseases, endocrine and metabolic diseases, nutritional diseases, connective tissue diseases, rheumatic diseases, tumors, and neurological diseases. Its content and format differ from both general textbooks and "diagnostic and treatment manuals." Each disease section is organized into seven parts: overview, diagnostic criteria, treatment plans, efficacy evaluation, prognosis evaluation, comments, and summaries. It emphasizes the "standardized" diagnosis and treatment, striving to achieve both advancement and recognition. The content of the entire book is novel and practical. The diagnosis and treatment of clinical diseases often exhibit distinct limitations of the era. As people's understanding of diseases deepens and diagnostic and treatment levels continue to improve, the standards of "normalization" must be revised and refined. Therefore, a dialectical and developmental logical thinking method and perspective must be adopted when approaching the "standards," avoiding rigid adherence. Especially for diseases without unified diagnostic and treatment standards internationally or domestically, the diagnostic criteria and treatment plans written by the authors based on existing literature and personal experience are provided for reference by clinical physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases. They cannot serve as the sole standard for measuring the correctness or incorrectness of disease management.
