The Tretyakov State Gallery of Russia is world-famous for its collection of oil paintings by Russian artists. With a collection of over 80,000 pieces, this art book selects representative works of artists who achieved the most significant and glorious results in the development of Russian oil painting from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. It includes works by renowned masters of the Wanderers' Society such as Vasily Perov, Ivan Kramskoi, Ivan Repin, Vasily Surikov, Valentin Serov, and Mikhail Vrubel, as well as avant-garde works by the "World of Art" and "Blue Rose" art circles, and pioneers like Wassily Kandinsky, the "father of abstract art," and Kazimir Malevich, a Suprematist. These works reflect the evolution of Russian oil painting from different perspectives. This is undoubtedly valuable for the reference and inspiration of China's developing oil painting art.
