Rich people and poor people

Author: Hemingway
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-06-01
Features: A collection of Hemingway's works. This book is divided into three parts: "Spring," "Autumn," and "Winter," vividly depicting the failed life of Harry Morgan, an "individualist." In "Spring," Morgan works as a fishing boat rental operator, forced by circumstances to transport "live cargo" (illegal immigrants) for others. To protect himself, he goes to great lengths, even breaking the law, which leads to a murder trial. In "Autumn," Morgan engages in the smuggling of hard liquor, living a perilous life "on the edge." By "Winter," Morgan is already at his wit's end, resorting to any means to make money, even agreeing to transport a group of Cuban bank robbers back to Cuba. Although he eliminates the gang of terrorists on the yacht, he himself is shot and tragically killed. This is one of Hemingway's works that has sparked strong controversy among critics.
