Features: Social language life is the application of social language. A person living in the real society must interact with others every day and often deals with books. Interaction inevitably involves language. Chinese characters are truly complex, much more complex than Western languages. People often encounter various difficulties in learning and using Chinese characters. To regulate and standardize the application of social language, the government formulates and implements language policies, and the formulation and implementation of language policies will inevitably encounter many complex issues. The research on social language application involves a very broad range of linguistic disciplines. Here, I only want to mention the research on the modernization and standardization of language. Language modernization refers to language reform in the modern era, also known as script reform in the last century. Most of the articles selected in this book are short. The articles are divided into five groups by content: Group is short essays, the second group is the simplification of Chinese characters, the third group is the use of words, the fourth group is the use of characters, and the fifth group is the use of punctuation marks.
