Features: In other words, we all start our life journey with a calorie account and an energy account. We can "withdraw" our life energy from this account in the years to come. Whether this account is depleted early or late entirely depends on our lifestyle. Unfortunately, this life energy account does not allow overdrafts. Ultimately, whether to stroll through life conserving energy or to squander it and deplete our life force at high speed is entirely within our own control. According to this theory, our health and lifespan first depend on how quickly the metabolic process converts the food we consume into energy and then depletes it. If we can successfully lower our metabolic rate and, consequently, reduce energy consumption, we will age more slowly, making ourselves healthier and longer-lived. The speed of energy consumption is closely related to our lifestyle. Day after day, we allow various energy bandits to raid our life energy: stress, anger, cold, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, or inappropriate exercise, among others. Excessive energy consumption makes us age prematurely, makes us more susceptible to illness, and even shortens our lifespan. Conversely, if we take measures to slow down metabolic activity to a healthy level, thereby conserving our energy resources, we will undoubtedly live healthier and work more efficiently. Contrary to popular belief, does excessive physical exertion promote the occurrence of chronic diseases such as cancer and arteriosclerosis? Currently, there is no substantial reliable data to support this inference. It is certain that sports aimed at success will undoubtedly weaken our resistance. Not many athletes don't sing this song: Before major competitions, after intensive training, catching a cold once after another, plus sprains and injuries.
