Features: This dictionary contains over 80,000 entries of Japanese loanwords and over 5,000 entries of commonly used abbreviations. Its main features are as follows:
(1) Up-to-date content. In addition to including commonly used entries from various Japanese loanword dictionaries published in China and abroad during the 1980s and 1990s, this dictionary also incorporates newly emerging words and phrases frequently used in books, magazines, newspapers, and online since the year 2000.
(2) Broad coverage. The dictionary includes loanwords from multiple disciplines, fields, and professions, such as politics, economics, science, literature and arts, sports, medicine, film and television, broadcasting, advertising, as well as fashion, beauty, and daily life. However, it does not include proper nouns like personal names or place names.
(3) Accurate translation of meanings. The translated terms and annotations are standardized and unified. When there are no corresponding Chinese terms or terminology, the definitions are made as complete as possible, and the concepts are kept clear.
(4) Highly practical abbreviations. The dictionary includes internationally renowned institutional names, company names, and commonly used abbreviations in modern life, such as those in trade and economics, military, aerospace, computers, music, medicine, and physical chemistry.
This book contains approximately 70,000 entries of Japanese loanwords and over 5,000 entries of important abbreviations. It is characterized by being up-to-date, having broad coverage, providing accurate translations, and featuring highly practical abbreviations. It is enriched with a large number of new terms and includes several appendices.
