Features: This book introduces 295 species of chalcid wasps parasitizing scale insects collected from various provinces (cities, autonomous regions) in China, including 63 genera and 188 species of Encyrtidae, 12 genera and 92 species of Aphelinidae, 2 genera and 5 species of Eulophidae, 4 genera and 5 species of Pteromalidae, 2 genera and 4 species of Ceraphronidae, and 1 genus and 1 species of Microgastridae. Most of them are the author's recent research results and newly discovered genera, species, and recorded species. Each species is provided with a detailed morphological description, and some are also introduced with distinguishing features from similar species. A systematic, family-level, and genus-level key to the chalcid wasps parasitizing scale insects in China has been compiled. For genera with more than one species, a species-level key is also provided. Some genera and species that were previously misidentified or doubted in China have been corrected. For each genus, synonyms, generic characters, hosts, distribution, and relevant literature are listed; for each species, relevant literature is provided. Accompanying the book are 269 fine black-and-white line drawings that accurately depict their morphological characteristics. An index of host names (Chinese and scientific) for the parasitoid wasps is also included. Additionally, an English abstract of the entire book is provided. This book is intended for researchers in forestry, agriculture, and biology, as well as technical personnel in agricultural and forestry production departments. It can also be used as a reference for students and teachers in relevant academic fields.
