The New Literature of China in Ten Volumes is a collection of theories and works from the first decade (1917–1927) of the New Literature Movement in China, edited by Lu Xun, Mao Dun, and others. It was compiled and edited by Zhao Jiabei of Shanghai Liangyou Book Company and published between 1935 and 1936. The entire work is divided into ten volumes, with a preface written by and introductions by the compilers:
Volume 1: The Construction of Theory Collection (compiled by Hu Shi),
Volume 2: The Collection of Literary Debates (compiled by Zheng Zhenduo),
Volume 3: The First Collection of Novels (compiled by Mao Dun),
Volume 4: The Second Collection of Novels (compiled by Lu Xun),
Volume 5: The Third Collection of Novels (compiled by Zheng Boqi),
Volume 6: The First Collection of Prose (compiled by Zhou Zuoren),
Volume 7: The Second Collection of Prose (compiled by Yu Dafu),
Volume 8: The Poetry Collection (compiled by Zhu Ziqing),
Volume 9: The Drama Collection (compiled by Hong Shen),
Volume 10: Historical Materials & Index (compiled by Ai Ying).
In June 1981, 20,000 sets were photocopied from the original books, and in June 2003, another 3,000 sets were photocopied again at the request of readers.
