Features: The original intention of editing this series of books was to compile the works of some accomplished and influential designers in China in recent years, allowing readers to gain a deeper understanding of the current state of Chinese design through these works. During the process of editing the series, through our interactions with the designers, we found that today's designers have undergone significant changes compared to the concepts we had a few years ago. Some designers have separated from state-owned enterprises and established their own studios; the fields they engage in have become broader, extending from graphic design to related aspects; and their working methods have shifted from individual singularity to multi-party collaboration. As the editing work progressed, I believed it was necessary to extend the focus of the series from introducing the achievements of designers to showcasing design studios in a comprehensive manner. Thus, the series "The Application of Concepts in Design — Design Era: Creative Reports of Famous Domestic Art and Design Studios" was born. I hope readers can use the designers' works, texts, dialogues, and work environments as media to more authentically experience the growth journey of Chinese designers and understand the trajectory of modern Chinese design development.
