Features: Zhang Zhengyong (female), born in November 1925, native of Fengjie, Sichuan. Education: Graduated from the National Beijing Art College's Chinese Painting Department in 1945; in 1946, she became a disciple of Mr. Zhang Daqian and joined the Dafeng Tang.
Biography: From 1946 to 1983, she worked as a fine arts teacher at schools such as Liangyuan School in Beijing, the Affiliated High School of the Central University for Nationalities, Jingshan School in Beijing, and No. 177 Middle School. From 1984 to 1998, she was an invited member of the Political Consultative Committee of Xicheng District, Beijing, and served as the head of the Culture and Sports Group. In 1992, she was appointed as an advisory professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University. In 1994, she was appointed as a visiting professor at Lanzhou University.
Artistic Organizations: Member of the Beijing Association of Fine Arts; Research Fellow of the Chinese Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Research Association; Honorary Advisor of the Shichahai Calligraphy and Painting Club; Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Association of Xicheng District, Beijing.
Specialties: Half-branch painting and figure painting, copying the Dunhuang murals.
