Patient's question:
Last week I had a hysterosalpingogram, and now I've found out I'm pregnant. Can I keep this child?Doctor's answer:
Undergoing tubal contrast is emotionally traumatic and involves radiation. It is generally not recommended to have the child, but it is not absolute. If you have significant difficulty getting pregnant, you can still keep the child. Screening during pregnancy is necessary, which may include tests such as the triple screen, non-invasive DNA testing, 2D or 4D ultrasound to rule out fetal abnormalities. Avoid exposure to toxic and radiation-containing items during pregnancy, as well as smoking, drinking alcohol, and contact with pets.
