"The Heirs of Nameless Heroes": Xiao Ming's father, Li Xia, is an old Red Army veteran. Before liberation, the Party sent him to work in Shanghai. He often told Xiao Ming stories about the revolutionary struggle. On the New Year's Eve of 1948, Li Xia and his wife were unfortunately arrested. The reactionaries of the Kuomintang used severe torture but could not extract any confessions, forcing Xiao Ming to find his father's close friend. However, Xiao Ming firmly remembered the stories his father told him and refused to seek help from his father's friend, enduring cold and hunger instead. Later, Comrade Li Xia heroically sacrificed his life, and the enemy failed to obtain what they wanted from Xiao Ming. Soon after, Shanghai was liberated. "Growing Up with the Communist Party" tells the story of Xiao Lai, who, under the care and guidance of the Party, joined the children's group, the Communist Youth League, and the Communist Party, gradually becoming a steadfast revolutionary fighter.
