Features: To help a large number of junior high school students master basic English knowledge, skills, and methods, improve their comprehensive English ability, and smoothly meet the requirements of the English curriculum standards, this book was written based on the new textbook "English for Junior High School Grade 7, First Semester" published by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press as part of the experimental curriculum standards for compulsory education. This book reflects the spirit of the Ministry of Education's proposal to promote quality-oriented education and adjust teaching content and requirements in secondary schools. It aims to be appropriately challenging, avoiding overly difficult or obscure material, highlighting key points, covering a broad scope, and focusing on expansion and extension while staying closely aligned with the textbook and emphasizing the cultivation of students' language skills.
The writing format of this book follows the framework of "Exploring the Wonderful, Module Tasks, and Happy Packets."
Exploring the Wonderful. Helps students summarize the key vocabulary, phrases, sentence patterns, grammar points, and difficulties of the unit, as well as the goals and requirements they should achieve through learning, giving them a comprehensive understanding.
Module Tasks. Through direct translation of the text, interpretation of the text, grammar explanation, and examples with analysis, it provides a detailed explanation and discussion of the knowledge points contained in each unit of the module. Direct translation of the text helps students better understand and master the textbook; the interpretation of the text selects key phrases and sentence patterns from the unit for detailed analysis, explanation, and examples. The selected sentences and analyses are carefully designed, with systematic explanations, concise narratives, clarity, and targeted training. It also analyzes common errors students tend to make. Grammar explanation provides a thorough explanation of the key grammar points in this module; examples and analysis allow students to practice and consolidate what they have learned in a timely manner.
Happy Packets. Focuses on cultivating students' basic abilities in language, vocabulary, grammar, and communication, serving as a reinforcement exercise. The goal is to broaden students' horizons while they review systematically, enhance their ability to adapt to various question types, and strengthen their psychological preparation for exams. The question types are lively and diverse. Reference answers are provided for students to check after practice, ensuring timely feedback and correction. Mid-term and final exams are also included for students to simulate testing and assess their mastery of the material.
After each Happy Packet, there is a section titled "Read and Reflect: What Have You Gained?" with Chinese-English comparisons, combining knowledge and fun to expand students' knowledge and further improve their English proficiency.
At the end of the book, reference answers to the workbook in the textbook are provided for students' reference.
