Features: This book is the last one to be completed in the series of "Network Original Fast Reading." Although it is thin, the two authors have selected and compiled it with great care, without taking it lightly at all. How to talk about the failure of Americans or the failures of Americans? The 18 articles included in this book reveal the failures of the United States from various perspectives, such as economics, politics, diplomacy, and education, provoking deep reflection. People can't help but ask: What exactly is wrong with the strong and arrogant America? The billions spent annually on anti-terrorism efforts ultimately failed to prevent terrorist attacks; the wealthy Microsoft company was even targeted by the government, which demanded its breakup; powerful U.S. companies can lay off workers at will, with no hesitation. In the U.S., the likelihood of whites using and dealing drugs is much higher than that of blacks, but the majority of those prosecuted for drug offenses are black. This cannot be called anything other than cultural bias against drugs. Once highly popular bilingual education is gradually being phased out in the U.S. Such cases are perplexing. It is believed that after reading this book, readers will gain insights and inspiration, leading to a comprehensive and profound understanding of the United States. The book is presented in a bilingual format (English-Chinese), making it convenient for intermediate and advanced English learners to read.
