How severe is cervical erosion when it reaches a certain degree?

Patient's question:

I am 42 years old. Since having my child, I have suffered from some gynecological diseases and have been taking medication for (treatment and conditioning) for a long time. Recently, the severity of my cervical disease has worsened, and the degree of cervical erosion has decreased. I am a bit worried about it turning into cancer. What degree of cervical erosion is considered very severe?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, for general mild to moderate cervical erosion without symptoms such as lower back pain or abnormal secretions, symptomatic treatment is usually sufficient. However, if it is severe erosion, or if there is contact bleeding, or if there are symptoms like lower back pain, abdominal pain, or accompanied by cervical hypertrophy, it is more serious and requires controlling inflammation while scheduling surgery at an appropriate time (usually within one week after the menstrual period ends). Preoperative examinations are necessary for all cases.
