New Pharmacology (15th Edition)

Author: Chen Xinqian et al.
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2005-01-01
Features: Looking back 50 years to when this book was first published, it was relatively thin in length and mediocre in content quality, with only 320,000 words in total and covering about 400 drugs. Compared to the current edition, which is rich in content and substantial in quality, has more than 1.5 million words in total, and covers over 2,000 drugs, there is a clear gap. This reflects the growth and development of the book. The preparation of this edition coincided with the transition between the old and new centuries, during which major reforms were carried out in China's pharmaceutical management. A new Drug Administration Law was promulgated, the classification management system for drugs (prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs) was implemented, and many new measures were introduced to improve drug quality and strengthen management, such as the abolition of local drug standards, the elimination of traditional Chinese medicine health products, and the comprehensive replacement of drug approval numbers and labeling. During this period, the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2000 Edition), the National Essential Drug List (2002 Edition), and the National Over-the-Counter Drug List were also promulgated. The content of this edition basically reflects these changes.
