Is it vaginitis or cervical erosion?

Patient's question:

Recently, I've been experiencing gynecological issues. My vaginal discharge has increased, and I have a persistent yellow, thick white discharge with a slightly foul odor. This has made me need to change my underwear every morning and evening. Additionally, I've had some urinary tract infections, with frequent urination, urgency, and a feeling of incomplete emptying. If I overexert myself, I might have slight hematuria.
Could you please tell me if my condition is more likely vaginitis or cervical erosion?

Doctor's answer:

Based on your description, it is inferred that your leukorrhea is currently yellow and viscous, accompanied by a foul odor, along with symptoms of a urinary tract infection, such as hematuria (blood in urine). It is highly likely that vaginitis is the cause, concurrent with a urinary tract infection. While cervical erosion can lead to an increase in leukorrhea, it will never cause symptoms of a urinary tract infection. At this point, cervical erosion cannot be completely ruled out. It is recommended to visit a hospital for thorough examinations such as leukorrhea routine tests and gynecological examinations to diagnose the underlying cause of the abnormal leukorrhea, followed by appropriate treatment.
