Features:
1. This dictionary is arranged in alphabetical order of English letters. Prefixes indicating chemical configurations or types, Greek letters, and Arabic numerals are not considered for sorting order; however, when they are indispensable parts of an entry, they are still arranged in alphabetical order.
2. Abbreviations can be found under their corresponding full English names and Chinese translations in the entries. The definitions can be found in the full English name entries.
3. If two entries have the same meaning, one of them is marked with "(English word)."
4. When a single entry has two or more Chinese translations, they are separated by commas (,); when an entry has multiple definitions, they are listed as "1, 2, 3, etc."
5. Words or phrases that can be omitted in Chinese translations, or words or phrases that can be substituted or annotated in translations and definitions, are indicated in parentheses ( ).
6. For some newly introduced terms, their Chinese translations appear less frequently in Chinese journals and publications, and there are currently differing suggestions for their Chinese translations in China. This dictionary adds "(provisional name)" after such Chinese translations to remind readers to note that these translations are only for reference or indication and should be understood in conjunction with the definitions. Once the National Natural Science Term Certification Committee announces the definitive translations, they will be revised in the next edition.
