Features: To adapt to the strategic adjustment of the agricultural and rural economic structure in the new era and the needs of joining the World Trade Organization, the "Action Plan for Harmless Food" has been fully implemented nationwide to comprehensively improve the quality and safety level of agricultural products and market competitiveness, protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and increase farmers' income. Among them, implementing standardized production is one of the important measures to achieve harmless agricultural products. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation of production technology standards and specifications for harmless agricultural products, guiding producers and operators of agricultural products to organize production and processing strictly according to standards, using agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, veterinary drugs, feed, and feed additives scientifically and reasonably, and using irrigation and aquaculture water. Strengthen the quarantine, epidemic prevention, and control of animal and plant diseases and pests, and improve the standard level of agricultural product grading, packaging, preservation, storage, and processing. To support the implementation of the "Action Plan for Harmless Food" and meet the needs of harmless food producers, consumers, and quality inspection personnel for standards, the "Collection of Harmless Food Standards" is published. This series consists of four volumes: Vegetables, Fruits and Tea, Livestock and Poultry, Honey, Dairy Products, and Aquatic Products. This volume collects two national standards and 51 industry standards for harmless food issued before the end of July 2002. The main content includes the safety requirements for livestock and poultry drinking water, common livestock and poultry meat and its products, honey, as well as the guidelines for the use of veterinary drugs, veterinary epidemic prevention, feed use, and feeding management. This volume is applicable to various production and operation units in agriculture, commerce, import and export industries, as well as quality supervision and inspection institutions at all levels. It can also be used as a reference for teachers and students of universities and colleges.
