New Pharmacology 15th Edition

Author: Chen Xinqian et al. (Editor-in-Chief)
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2003-01-01
Features: Recalling 50 years ago when the first edition of this book was published, it was relatively thin in volume and had mediocre content quality, with only 320,000 words in total and covering about 400 drugs. Compared to the current edition, which is rich and substantial in content, has reached a high quality standard, has over 1.5 million words in total, and covers more than 2,000 drugs, there is a significant gap. This clearly reflects the growth and development of the book. The current edition was compiled at the turn of the new century, when major reforms were carried out in China's pharmaceutical management. New regulations such as the "Drug Administration Law of the People's Republic of China" were issued, and a drug classification management system (prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs) was implemented. Many new measures were also taken to improve drug quality and strengthen management, such as the abolition of local drug standards, the elimination of traditional Chinese medicine health products, and the comprehensive replacement of drug approval numbers and instructions. During this period, regulations such as the "Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (2000 Edition)," the "National Essential Drug List (2002)," and the "National Over-the-Counter Drug List" were also promulgated. The content of the current edition reflects these changes.
