Features: The term "King of Short Stories" requires some explanation. The short story writers included in the published or to-be-published list can be understood as those dedicated to short story writing; alternatively, it can be interpreted as meaning that in contemporary literary treatment, the short story may be more refined and possess greater literary aesthetic significance. However, this does not imply that unpublished short story writers are not great writers. Liu Qingbang has worked as a farmer, miner, and journalist. He began publishing his works in 1978. He has written several novels, including Fault Line, and many of his works have been translated into foreign languages such as English, French, and Japanese. He is currently a resident writer at the Beijing Writers' Association, a National First-Class Writer, and a member of the 5th and 6th National Committees of the Chinese Writers' Association.
