Features: The book covers a wide range of tax-related terminology, and in the past one to two decades, many new professional terms have been added. It collects over 18,000 professional terms, primarily focusing on tax vocabulary while also including some terms closely related to economics, finance, banking, insurance, accounting, statistics, corporate finance, and foreign trade. The selected terms also include names of major international organizations and institutions in international trade, as well as a small number of Latin and French loanwords. This book is based on the extensive vocabulary accumulated by the author during long-term translation of foreign tax documents and publications, and it also references various professional dictionaries and glossaries published domestically and internationally.
The terms in this book are arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter of the English name; if the first letters are the same, they are sorted by the second letter, and so on. Each term consists of three parts: the English name, the Chinese translation, and the definition. A space is left between the English name and the Chinese translation, and the definition starts on a new line. For terms derived from Latin, French, or other foreign languages, the Chinese translation is preceded by quotation marks or other symbols. For country-specific terms, the Chinese translation is preceded by notations such as "(UK)" or "(US)." For commonly used terms with clear meanings, the definition is omitted; new terms or those with ambiguous meanings generally include a definition. The definitions are concise and to the point, without repetition of the term name or introductory phrases. If the definition mentions related terms, the English name of the related term is listed as a cross-reference. If an English name has an abbreviated form, the full name and the abbreviation are listed separately. For some related terms, the English name is also cross-referenced to facilitate lookup.
