Features: The purpose of this book is to provide a comprehensive introduction to the principles of computer simulation for continuous systems, sampled control systems, and discrete event systems. The book is divided into 7 chapters:
Chapter 1 is an introduction, covering the basic concepts and classifications of systems, models, and simulation; the general process of computer simulation; the development, applications, and characteristics of computer simulation, as well as the trends in its development.
Chapter 2 briefly introduces modeling methods for mathematical models, common mathematical models used in continuous system simulation, and their inter conversions.
Chapter 3 provides a detailed and comprehensive introduction to the simulation algorithms for continuous systems and the issues to consider when selecting simulation algorithms.
Chapter 4 introduces computer simulation of continuous systems, focusing on equation-oriented simulation based on numerical integration and block diagram-oriented simulation based on discrete similarity.
Chapter 5 introduces the simulation methods for sampled control systems.
Chapter 6 briefly introduces the fundamentals of discrete event system simulation, including modeling methods, simulation strategies, the establishment of random variable models, the generation of random variables, and the analysis of simulation results.
Chapter 7 briefly introduces the basic concepts and common methods for evaluating the credibility of simulation.
