The so-called 'ballad of freedom' is for my friends to hear, while in my heart, I call this book 'debris of death.' Kind friends can say I moved from 'Notes of Shame' to 'Ballad of Freedom,' but I know myself that it was merely a journey toward 'Debris of Death'." —— As author Mo Luo puts it.
