Features: Acupuncture and Moxibustion Techniques is a branch of acupuncture and moxibustion that focuses on various acupuncture techniques, clinical applications, and their underlying mechanisms. Through this course, students are required to master the operational methods of various clinical acupuncture techniques, familiarize themselves with the principles and clinical applications of acupuncture techniques from ancient and modern times. The textbook is divided into two parts. The upper part consists of classroom teaching content and is divided into ten chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the disciplinary characteristics, content scope, historical development, and role of this field. Chapters 2 and 3 cover basic acupuncture techniques and the operation of acupoints in different parts of the body. Chapters 4 and 5 introduce techniques such as regulating the mind, achieving the arrival of qi, guiding qi to the affected area, and auxiliary acupuncture techniques, as well as acupuncture tonification and deficiency methods. Chapters 6 to 9 discuss techniques including moxibustion, cupping, ear acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, wrist and ankle acupuncture, three-edged needle, dermal needle, subcutaneous needle, fire needle, long needle, and tantalum needle, electroacupuncture, acupoint drug injection and drug application, laser irradiation, and magnetotherapy, covering their operational methods, clinical applications, and precautions. Chapter 10 focuses on modern research in acupuncture and moxibustion techniques, highlighting the current state of modern research on acupuncture techniques, moxibustion methods, and the development and application of modern acupuncture and moxibustion equipment. The lower part, also known as the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Skills Training Guide, is used for instructors' demonstrations and students' hands-on practice. It is divided into two parts: Internship Guidance and Assessment Procedures. Internship Guidance serves as a tutorial for students' internships and instructors' demonstrations, focusing on the training of common acupuncture techniques and is implemented during inter-class clinical observation and student internship sessions. Assessment Procedures are implemented after the course and before clinical acupuncture observation, primarily used to assess and score students' operational skills, and can also serve as one of the items for clinical skills assessment upon graduation.
