Why won't I get pregnant without contraception?

Patient's question:

Doctor, you and I are already 29 years old this year. My husband and I have been married for more than two years and have not been using any contraception, but we haven't been able to get pregnant yet. I'd like to understand why we absolutely cannot get pregnant without contraception?

Doctor's answer:

Couples of childbearing age who are sexually active without using contraception and fail to conceive normally within a year may be experiencing infertility issues. The cause could be related to either the male or female partner, so both partners need to visit a regular infertility hospital for systematic and thorough examinations. Only by identifying the root cause of infertility can targeted treatment be implemented. Wishing patients a speedy recovery and good health!
