Features: Aluminum and aluminum alloys are an important category of new high-performance materials and are increasingly widely used in industries such as aerospace, transportation, petroleum, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and building materials. With the development of manufacturing technology for aluminum and aluminum alloy components, the market demands a large number of skilled professionals proficient in welding techniques for aluminum and aluminum alloys. To meet market demand, accelerate the cultivation of welding skills, and promote the further development of manufacturing technology for aluminum and aluminum alloy structural components in China, we have introduced this textbook. This textbook was compiled by engineering technicians with long-term experience in welding and profound theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, as well as professors from higher education institutions. It is based on the review of a large number of relevant academic monographs and technical standards, combined with production practices. The entire textbook adheres to the orientation of enterprise needs and relevant national vocational standards, with practical and up-to-date content. The textbook is divided into 11 units, with main content including: aluminum and aluminum alloy materials, pre-welding preparation for aluminum and aluminum alloys, manual tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) process and operational skills, melting electrode inert gas welding (MIG) process and operational skills, brazing process, other welding methods and processes, welding equipment, welding of aluminum with dissimilar metals, welding defects and inspection of aluminum and aluminum alloys, welding safety and labor protection, and knowledge of ISO welding standards.
This textbook was compiled by Hu Huanghui (Senior Engineer, International Welding Engineer), Xiao Jianping (Senior Engineer, International Welding Engineer), Jin Xinying (Senior Engineer), Fan Kelin (Senior Lecturer), and Yuan Jianguo (Professor), with Hu Huanghui serving as the chief editor. It was reviewed by Shen Huibin (Senior Engineer) and Hong Bo (Professor). During the compilation process, this textbook received assistance from Yi Zhuokuan (Welding Technician), Ji Xingren (Welding Technician), and Hu Liangang (Senior Welding Technician, International Welding Engineer). Special thanks are expressed to them.
This textbook is suitable for use in vocational and technical colleges' welding programs and can also serve as a training textbook or reference for advanced welders, welding technicians, and welding engineering technicians. Ministry of Labor and Social Security Textbook Office
