Features: This book includes major controversial issues in the field of economics and finance, such as pension issues and the different social effects caused by the use of different methods. There is an urgent need to summarize the various viewpoints that are currently being fiercely debated around the world. The purpose of the "Stockholm Initiative" is to expand the discussion on issues such as the relationship between the various components of social security and the overall function of social security. The interdependence of a country's social and economic environment, as well as its culture, values, traditions, and other factors, on the role and impact of social security, still need further research. In fact, these are all very complex issues that require careful analysis and broad discussion. All components of social security need to be studied. In addition to old-age insurance, medical insurance and unemployment insurance are also important branches of social security, and these will be included in the next phase of the "Stockholm Initiative." Each branch of social security has its own background and issues, but when it comes to how social security functions, they share common points. Topics involving multiple branches of social security include: building and maintaining public confidence in the government and social security; social security as an element of production; the impact of economic globalization on social security; and changes in social security systems due to social transformation, among others. Additionally, research on the role of social security in different countries can be conducted by investigating: the demand for reform in different social systems; what kind of reform process can ensure sufficient supply, fiscal sustainability, political feasibility, and sustainable economic development; public support, and other aspects. Regardless of the method used, further research faces some obvious obstacles. We must answer the following questions: What are the prerequisites for social security in modern society? What do they mean? How can reforms be effectively implemented? What are the criteria for success? How can these issues be studied to maximize their role as the foundation of the reform process? On behalf of the International Social Security Association, I invite everyone to participate in our survey research.
