Acoustic amplification technology

Author: Zhu Wei
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: This book aims to systematically elaborate the fundamental principles of sound reinforcement technology from an acoustical perspective, primarily introducing the basic characteristics, technical requirements, and electroacoustic design of hall and outdoor sound reinforcement. It also takes stage sound reinforcement as an example to illustrate the basic principles and usage methods of common electroacoustic equipment in sound reinforcement. The book is divided into seven chapters:
Chapter 1: Introduction – Mainly introduces the functions, classifications, equipment composition, and working principles of sound reinforcement systems.
Chapter 2: Sound Wave Propagation – Mainly introduces the basic knowledge of sound propagation.
Chapter 3: Principles and Applications of Equipment Units in Sound Reinforcement Systems – Mainly explains the principles and applications of basic electroacoustic devices in sound reinforcement—such as loudspeakers and their systems—as well as the principles of mixers and basic mixing methods in sound reinforcement.
Chapter 4: Outdoor Sound Reinforcement Systems – Introduces the characteristics of outdoor sound reinforcement and basic mixing methods in sound reinforcement.
Chapter 5: Fundamentals of Room Acoustics – Introduces the basic knowledge of room acoustics.
Chapter 6: The Role of Indoor Sound Systems – Introduces the characteristics of indoor sound reinforcement and the design and application of electroacoustic systems.
Chapter 7: System Building Structure and Layout – Introduces typical signal flow diagrams of sound reinforcement systems and basic wiring requirements in design.
This book is part of the Audio Technology and Art Series, and due to the systematic and holistic nature of the series, some content is not elaborated in detail in this book. This content can be referred to in the relevant books of the series. The book can serve as a textbook for recording majors, audio engineering majors, and related disciplines in colleges and universities, as well as a reference for technicians and researchers engaged in sound reinforcement work.
