The book features historical background introductions, historical fact narration, and targeted analysis and reflection. This is a distinctive characteristic of the book. Additionally, the book proposes four authoritarian news and communication models from the feudal period in Eastern and Western societies, five models of the transition from feudal to capitalist news and communication industries, and the fascist news and communication system. It also provides a detailed introduction and analysis of the typical socialist model—the Soviet news and communication system and the former Yugoslav news and communication model.
