Features: In 2002, one of the most remarkable events in Europe was undoubtedly the expansion of the European Union to the east. This expansion not only attracted widespread attention due to the large number of countries joining but also because it broke through the former East-West division established during the Cold War, bringing a new landscape to the European map after the Cold War. As the whistle of the eastward expansion train echoed, we saw a new Europe approaching us.
