Features: This book compiles nearly 800 current and effective laws, regulations, rules, and various normative documents related to food safety in China. We categorize them by the issuing departments of the laws and regulations, dividing them into five parts: "Laws," "Administrative Regulations and Normative Documents," "Judicial Interpretations and Related Business Documents," "Departmental Rules and Normative Documents," and "Other Related Documents." For laws and regulations with fewer provisions, we have adopted the method of excerpting instead of publishing the full text. Before the book went to press, we made a comprehensive update to include the latest newly promulgated relevant laws and regulations. This compilation has the following characteristics:
1. Originality: Currently, laws and regulations related to food safety are scattered across various documents, with a majority being repetitive and recent. Through extensive searches and careful research, the compilers have collected many laws and normative documents that were previously unpublished, making this book the most comprehensive and systematic compilation to date introducing China's food safety laws, regulations, and normative documents.
2. Comprehensiveness: This compilation includes all current and effective laws, administrative regulations, judicial interpretations, departmental rules, and normative documents related to food safety in China. These laws and regulations cover a wide range of industries, diverse food categories, complete food and inspection standards, and are issued by various departments.
3. Practicality: Through our meticulous organization, the content of this book is scientifically categorized and easy to find, allowing for "learning by analogy." It is a highly practical reference for government enforcement departments, judicial authorities, legal professionals, researchers on food safety issues, food-related production and business units, as well as the general public concerned about food safety in their work and daily lives.
4. Reference Value: This compilation provides a relatively complete and comprehensive reflection of the approach and practices in China's food safety legislation, offering realistic legal materials for those interested in China's food safety legislation. It enables more reasonable suggestions and further improvements to be proposed for drafting and revising food safety laws and regulations, based on the implementation of these laws and the current state of food safety in China.
