Features: This book is the revised edition of the fourth volume of civil and commercial law research. It is divided into six parts: General Principles of Civil Law, Personality Rights System, Property Rights System, Debt and Contract System, Tort System, and Other Related Systems. The book is rich in content, with innovative section formats, and possesses strong scientific and theoretical rigor. Many of its insights are highly original. Whether for legal professionals or general readers, this book is worth reading. To adapt to the development of civil and commercial adjudication work and meet the needs of judges, lawyers, enterprises, and institutions for retrieving and applying civil and commercial laws, regulations, departmental rules, and judicial interpretations, we organized judges from the Supreme People's Court, some higher courts, and grassroots courts to compile the "Civil and Economic Law Quick Reference Manual" in November 1997. In January 2000, we published the new edition of this book. It was well-received by readers due to its unique arrangement and the convenience it offered for quickly finding legal provisions.
Considering that new civil and economic laws and regulations have been enacted or revised in the past two years, and the Supreme People's Court has issued several civil and commercial judicial interpretations, especially to meet the needs of China's entry into the WTO, the pace of establishing, abolishing, and amending laws and regulations has accelerated. The framework and some content of the previous two editions have become outdated. Embracing the spirit of "keeping pace with the times," we made significant adjustments and additions to the new edition, presenting it as the third edition of this book. The title has also been changed accordingly to "Civil and Commercial Law Quick Reference Manual."
