The 47th Army is a ?Ь⑿? It was founded in October 1930 as the Independent Red Army Regiment in Da'anli, Pingxiang, Jiangxi. During the First Revolutionary War, it participated in five counter-"encirclement" campaigns, defending the Soviet region, breaking out to the west, returning east, and fighting across Hunan and Guizhou, successfully completing the Long March of 25,000 li. During the War of Resistance against Japan, as part of the 359th Brigade, it fought in the Jin-Cha-Oi Border Region, recapturing seven cities in northern Jin and protecting the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. In 1940, it launched the vibrant Nanniwan Production Movement, setting an example of self-reliance and hard work for the entire army. During the War of Liberation, it participated in the famous Battle of Heishan, resisting the attack of the Liao Yaohuang Corps, which was five times its size, giving the army time to capture Jinzhou and create an opportunity to eliminate the Liaoshen enemy. Later, it took part in major battles such as liberating Beijing and Tianjin, crossing the Yangtze River southward, liberating Chongqing, and suppressing bandits in western Hunan. In the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, it severely damaged the U.S. cavalry and shocked the heavens and mountains. The battle history of the 47th Army eloquently proves that this unit is a valiant force that is not afraid of hardship, brave in sacrifice, fierce in battle, invincible, full of heroes, and with outstanding achievements.
