Features: Since the reform and opening-up, with the rapid development of China's tourism industry, the hotel industry in China has achieved remarkable progress. As the backbone of China's tourism industry, the development of star-rated hotels in China has enhanced the hardware facilities and software management level of the tourism service industry, promoting an early alignment with international standards. The significant development of China's star-rated hotels has been driven by the following three fundamental experiences:
1. In the early stages of reform and opening-up, a large number of foreign capital was introduced to construct hotels, bold adoption of advanced foreign management models and operational experiences, and vigorous introduction and cultivation of hotel management talent enabled the Chinese hotel industry to achieve a rapid transformation from a reception-oriented model to a business-oriented one, and from low-end to high-end standards aligned with international practices in a relatively short period.
2. From learning from advanced foreign management experiences to implementing star rating standards, the implementation of a series of norms and standards aligned with international practices enabled the hotel industry to make substantial progress in design, construction, operation, management, as well as achieving corporatization, branding, and networking.
3. Through the comprehensive implementation of star rating evaluations, the scale of star-rated hotels was continuously expanded, making the "star rating" this intangible asset widely recognized by society. Star-rated hotels are playing an increasingly important role in guiding and setting an example in the entire accommodation industry.
